UV radiation is irradiated onto an LCD monitor from below. This monitor with a resolution of 1440\u00d72560 pixels can either block or transmit UV radiation. One pixel has a size of approx. 0.05 mm. Above the monitor is a tray filled with liquid, UV-curable resin. Where the light is not blocked by the LCD monitor, the resin hardens. The finished layer is pulled up on a plate so that new resin flows underneath and the next layer can harden. The model is printed on the head, so to speak. The Z-axis can be controlled in an incredible 0.01 steps. Most FDM printers can print 0.1 - 0.2 mm thick, some better models up to 0.05 mm per layer.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
